Elizabeth "Beth" Dexter Boswell, 50, of Salt Lake City, died Monday, August 8, 1988 in Salt Lake City following a short illness.

She was born July 20, 1938, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Richard Spencer and Grace Kathrine Forsell Dexter.  She married Donald Lee Boswell, April 19, 1957, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Beth graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem, and attended Henager Business College.  She served in the volunteer organization at LDS Hospital for twelve years, serving as Volunteers Auxiliary President from 1984-85.  She was employed at LDS Hospital Heritage Gift Shop.  She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, traveling, baseball, and reading.

She was a member of the LDS Church, where she served as president of the Junior Sunday School, Primary, and Young Womens' Association, and various Relief Society positions.

Survivors include her husband of Salt Lake; four daughters and one son, Terri L. Reiser, Mrs. Robert (Denise) Leeflang, Mrs. Jerry (Sandy) Terkelson, John D. Boswell, and Elaine D. Boswell, all of Salt Lake City; six grand-children; father-in-law, Leland A. Boswell of Salt Lake; mother, Mrs. Richard (Grace) Dexter of Orem; one brother and two sisters, Richard A. Dexter, Mrs. Kenneth (Joan) Fackrell; and Mrs. Dennis (Carol) Holdaway, all of Orem.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be Friday, noon, Colonial Hills 1st Ward Chapel, 1455 South 1700 East, Salt Lake City.  Friends may call Thursday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City and one hour prior to service at the church on Friday.  Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
